An elusive Fender legend, the Nocaster’s history is fraught with frustration, legal issues, and Fender’s determination to get their guitars out no matter the situation. Originally called the “Broadcaster,” it was renamed at the request of Gretsch to differentiate it from their “Broadkaster” drum set. To save costs until a new name could be decided and new decals made, Fender cut the name off the headstock labels and shipped them without a model name. This 2002 Custom Shop replica is meticulously aged and masterfully recreated all the way down to the hand-wound pickups. Just like an original, this one is wholly unaffordable beyond the deep-pocketed collectors. However, a lucky draw could make this one yours!
